Our Governance

Dartford Bridge Community Primary School is part of Cygnus Academies Trust, and all formal governance is carried out by the Trust Board, which is the legal accountable body for every school within the Trust.
This means that Dartford Bridge does not have a Local Governing Committee (LGC).
This governance model was introduced from September 2025 to strengthen clarity, consistency and accountability across the Trust.

Members

Members are custodians of the governance of Cygnus Academies Trust

Trustees

Trustees are ultimately responsible and accountable for the trust. It is up to them to make sure the trust is compliant with it's charitable objectives, but also with company and charity law.

The Link Trustee for Dartford Bridge Community Primary School is Paul Langridge.

'In my working life I spent 32 years as Head and Deputy of a very large, successful primary school as well as working in the SEND sector. In addition, I was a strategic and financial board member of Kent and Medway training, an accredited provider of school based teacher training.

I have been a Governor of Dartford Bridge School, more recently as Chair of Governors.

I believe all children should be entitled to experience all aspects of the curriculum whereby their skills and talents can be recognised, not just their academic success.'
