Colchester Zoo

Year 6 visited Colchester Zoo linked to their Geography topic: Biomes. On their visit, they were fortunate enough to have an educational workshop, which explained different habitats animals live in. The pupils in Tagore and Shakespeare class used their map skills from term 1 to follow the route around the zoo using a printed map and successfully navigated their way to the different animals and their biomes. This was a great prior learning activity for the children to take part in, ready for their next lessons in geography where they will explore all the different biomes they have seen.
