Making a Pond
Nursery have been so busy recently!
The children helped to make a pond using mud rock; they made a cast of the tuff tray then painted and sprinkled on glitter lily pads. Later in the week, when it was dry, the children used the pond to support small world play. The children have also helped to pull up weeds, removed stones from the digging area in the garden and have planted flowers too. The children even recreated The Enormous Turnip story!
They have explored ice play in the classroom with a frog ice sculpture and frogspawn ice cubes!
Lots of fun has been had searching for bugs in the garden and were fascinated by the snails that had come out to play in the rain, they also helped Mrs Rolfe to rescue a worm that was stuck under the large wooden tray.
