Remembrance Day 2021
This year we commemorated Remembrance Day throughout the school in different ways.
Children had made poppies over the half term, which were displayed on the fence outside the school as well as on a cloak that was used to adorn the WW2 Soldier statue on the estate. School Council members joined Mrs Smith and representatives from the Bridge Estate to mark the two minute silence around the statue.
In school, Year 5 and 6 marked their silence in the playground as a phase and at the end, one child read the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae. The rest of the school marked the silence in an age-appropriate way.
