Year 1 Book Week 2022

We had the most amazing Book Week.

We began the week by exploring the story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. Then we created our own story maps to remind us of the story and its important events. Later in the week we made our own puppets which we used to role-play and retell the story.

On Tuesday we were visited by Jo Clarke. We listened intently as she told us about becoming an author and with our help she created a new story.

On Friday we all dressed up as our favourite book character to celebrate World Book Day.
