Year 4 Expedition to Botany Bay
After a couple of false starts, year 4 finally made it to Botany Bay on the 21st October. We were there to see for ourselves all the amazing coastal features that we had learnt about in the term for Geography. The sun shone down, the sky was blue, and the sea was calm as we had a fantastic time exploring all the different parts of the beach and coastline. We saw how cliffs were being shaped by erosion into caves, archways, stacks and stumps and saw how sea defences were being built to prevent it. Our learning really did take place outdoors!
